At DCUCSI Data Center Unified Computing Server Integration class for 3 days

This is cool. Feel like I have done it all already, but am eager. Think I will be helping others 🙂

This class should get a person ready for the http://www.cisco.com/web/learning/le3/le2/le41/UCTS/UCTSS/learning_certification_type_home_extra_level.html# Certification.

Had to admit I was a total fan boy avangalist to the class up front.

Very cool to see what others are doing with UCS.

Will note below points of interest during the class.

Notes:

• VMWare & Cisco developed the UCSM together. No wonder UCSM looked like vsphere!
• New 6248 FI will have greater throughput
• Each PSU can handle 2500W. Check Equipment power settings for 1, 3, or 4 PSU options (non-redundant, n+1, gnd)
• 2.0 Code with new 2208 IOM’s will support Port-Channel Chassis to FI
