This is an amazing server. I prefer B series to C series because management is easier. Two B460’s per chassis offers an amazing amount of “Virtualization Power”. Something of note is “Two modular LAN on motherboard (mLOM) slots for Cisco UCS Virtual Interface Card (VIC)”. This enables the 320 Gbps of overall Ethernet throughput. That would really push the 8 port IOM’s available with 2 servers per chassis.
The Cisco UCS B460 M4 harnesses the power of four Intel® Xeon® processor E7-4800 v2 and E7-8800 v2 product families and accelerates access to critical data. This blade server supports up to 60 processor cores, 6.0 TB of memory (using 64-GB DIMMs), 4.8 TB of internal storage, and 320 Gbps of overall Ethernet throughput.
