Installing Cisco UCS Central 1.5(1c) on RedHat RHEV

It isn’t a supported configuration, but it can be done. 1.5(1c) is the first version that installs without hassle.

Steps:

* login to RHEVM
* Go to Virtual Machines Tab
* Click on the sub-tab “New VM”
* Pop up screen of New VM open up
* VM name : badass-ucs-central01
* Description : UCS Central Server
* Nic : VLAN
* Protected check box to be checked
* CPU 2
* Memory 12G
* Select the High Availability check box
* Configure 2 x 100 GB IDE disks to the VM (Note: Must have 2 x 100G IDE disks or install will fail)
* Install from ISO
