The Sacred Gardener – Steven Elliot Martyn – Gnosis: Growing Sacred Culture

At nineteen, in complete disillusion with Western Culture, Steven embarked on a four year solo wilderness initiation, deepening his meditation practice and learning traditional skills to survive outside of the industrial world. Presently he has more than forty years experience living co-creatively with the Earth and practicing living skills; foraging, growing food, building, and healing.

He started Livingstone & Greenbloom, Toronto’s first green landscaping company, in 1986 and the Algonquin Tea Company, a bioregional herbal tea company in 1996. He has given talks and run workshops internationally for more than thirty years, as well as being a perennial instructor at Algonquin College and the Orphan Wisdom School.
