The 2020 CRN Product of the Year awards are out, and I’m extremely proud to share that Cisco HyperFlex was chosen as the Overall Winner in the Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) category. This marks the second consecutive year that our solution partners have voted to make HyperFlex their top choice in the category, and for that we say – thank you!
One award – Two-factor authentication
The CRN Product of the Year awards are unique in that they conducted through a two-step process. While the editors at CRN start the process by selecting a group of finalists, the ultimate decision is left to more than 5,000 solution providers, who cast their vote for “the very best partner-friendly products and services that launched over the past year”. Voting is based around rating the technology of the products, the revenue and profit opportunities they enable for solution providers, and the customer demand they see for the products.
A solution for a challenging year, and beyond
There’s no question, 2020 has presented its share of challenges to all of us, but as the end of the year approaches, I wanted to look back on the year through a positive lens. Cisco and our Partner Community have played a role in helping the Los Angeles Dodgers win a baseball championship, businesses like Penske Australia shift to a remote workforce in just days, and healthcare providers like Sky Lakes Medical Center adopt safer ways to administer care.
Those are just some examples of the success that Cisco and our partner community have had this year with HyperFlex. The challenges presented in 2020 re-enforced the key-value proposition that we have engineered into the HyperFlex platform in providing our customers a solution capable of delivering unmatched time to value through a tightly integrated solution that is quick to deploy, and simple to manage.
Our goals are simple – provide our partner community with a differentiated solution, engineered around delivering the results our customers need now while providing a simplified path to the technology they need for future business demands. We continue to introduce innovation to the HyperFlex platform as Manish Agarwal discussed in his recent blog, New Cisco HyperFlex innovations: Software-only version, new Kubernetes, storage and edge solutions that expand HCI use cases, break down silos between technology and teams and ultimately bridge the gap between business demands and IT capability.
Final thoughts
I would like to extend congratulations to the Cisco AppDynamics team, for being named Overall Winner in the Business Intelligence and Analytics category.
Thank you to all of the partner community who voted to make HyperFlex the Overall Winner for HCI for the second year in a row, and we look forward to continued success in the new year!
